Discussify: A Decentralized Discussion Platform for the Web
Discussify is a free Chrome add-on developed by moxystudio that unlocks a fully decentralized layer of discussion on any website. Built on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), Discussify provides a real-time, peer-to-peer, and permanent discussion platform for anyone to join and participate.
With Discussify, users can engage in real-time discussions with their peers, edit and remove their messages, and even have sub-thread discussions for more organized conversations. The add-on also offers authentication via uPort, ensuring secure and verified user identities.
It's important to note that Discussify is currently in the "POC phase 1" release, aimed at gathering feedback from the community and improving the overall user experience. As such, discussions in this stage are discarded, and updates may clear previous conversations. However, users can manually install previous versions to access any old discussions.
Although the codebase of Discussify has not been audited by security specialists, it serves as an experimental platform and should not be used to store, share, or publish sensitive information.
